Water pooling on the floor in front of your LG dishwasher is almost always caused by a worn or cracked door sweep. In most LG and Kenmore dishwashers, the door sweep is the primary barrier between the wash cycle and your kitchen floor — when it degrades, water escapes along the bottom door edge with every cycle. Skill Level: Easy — 15–20 minutes, no special tools required. Disconnect power before servicing. Open the dishwasher door fully and locate the existing door sweep along the bottom interior edge. Slide or unclip the old sweep out, align the new MDS65210403 into the channel, and press firmly until fully seated. Close the door and run a short cycle to confirm the seal is watertight before returning to normal use.
