The WG04F07524 Dryer Timer is the genuine GE OEM timer assembly that coordinates a dryer's entire cycle — controlling when the drum runs, when the heater engages, and when the cycle ends. This CAM-driven timer advances through timed or automatic cycles and ensures the dryer shuts off at the correct point. Note: This part has been discontinued by GE and is no longer available new. We have limited used stock available while supplies last.

Unplug the dryer before beginning. Access the timer by removing the control panel — typically secured by screws at the back or sides of the panel. Disconnect the wire harness from the old timer, noting wire positions or taking a photo before removal. Transfer the timer knob to the new unit, install, reconnect the harness, and reassemble the panel. Restore power and run a timed cycle to confirm operation. Total repair time: 20–30 minutes.
