DC47-00016A is a genuine Samsung single-use dryer thermal fuse or safety thermostat installed on the blower housing of compatible dryers.

The fuse opens the protected electrical circuit when an unsafe temperature condition occurs. Depending on the dryer model and circuit design, an open fuse may contribute to a dryer that will not start, does not heat, stops during operation or ends a cycle unexpectedly.

Similar symptoms can also result from restricted ventilation, a failed heating element, gas-heating fault, thermistor, thermostat, wiring, motor or electronic-control problem.
