The DE59-00002A High Voltage Diode is the genuine Samsung OEM fix for a microwave that runs but produces no heat. The high voltage diode works alongside the capacitor and magnetron to convert AC power into the high-voltage DC current needed to generate microwave energy. When the diode fails — either shorted or open — the magnetron receives no usable power and the microwave will run through its cycle without heating food at all.
