Skill Level: Intermediate. Door hinge replacement on front load washers requires removing the door from the cabinet and accessing the hinge mounting screws on the front panel. Always unplug the washer before beginning. On most WFW/MHWE models, the door is removed by unscrewing the hinge from the front panel — have a second person support the door weight during removal to avoid damaging the boot gasket or door glass. Torque hinge mounting screws to spec — overtightening can crack the front panel.
